Martin Luther King Jr. Peacemaker Award

Each year, the chapter makes this award to a county resident whose career has reflected Dr. King's ideals as a peacemaker. The award has usually been presented at the Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Dinner each January. Past recipients: Roger “Pip” Moyer, Aris Allen, Yevola Peters, Bertina Nick, Margie Bryce, Larry Griffin, Joseph “Zastrow” Simms, Dr. Carol Parham, Rachel Brown, Rev. Leroy Bowman, Elizabeth Pollak, Verna Patricia Bean, Tony Spencer, Anne Mills Bowie, Deborah Wood, Dennis Conti, and Rev. Fred Muir. Pictured is Rev. Bowman (l) receiving the award from Robert Eades.
